Currently cooking now

Hey, you’re lurking on my own now page. Now pages are usually tell you what am I been doing (or if you’re watching TheJuiceMedia videos, cooking while in lockdown) and what I’m focusing on at this point. I’ll attempt to keep this updated, at least on bi-monthly basis.

Updated as of October 11, 2022 Philippine Standard Time

Where am I?

I’m currently on our family’s house until at least I can find a job in the future and afford a house to at least rent to. Currently observing Philippine Standard Time, which if you’re on Eastern Time, my apologies for late replies.

Please do not ask me for my home address if you want to send me some stuff instead of usual handwritten fan mail, I’ll ignore that due to privacy reasons.

What I’m doing now?

Currently doing schoolwork, might not be able to do maintainership chores in most projects + GitHub CLI for Alpine Linux.

Here are some projects that currently I do in my free time right now:

  • Gitpodify CLI, an TypeScript-based project for managing Gitpod configuration files within the terminal (currently on hiatus)
  • Gitpodified Workspace Images, an fork to the official Gitpod workspace image with some additions and optmizations (currently fixing conflicts and
  • maintaining GitHub CLI package for Alpine Linux users (always delayed due to my schedules, currently maintained by the community)
  • maintaining Recap Time Squad Wiki and other documentation/wiki-related projects under Community Lores
  • …and more which I’ll note it down soon.

Backlog

There are so many stuff in my mind and also on my backlog that I can’t list ’em all as of time of writing.

What am I considering to do?

  • Make the bootstrap script of my dotfiles repo more reproducible on NixOS, without even requiring to clone stuff on install time.
    • I’m currently revamping the script to even suppirt both Gitpod and Codespaces.
    • Modularize the script by separting each step into their own scripts, with the side effect of requiring the clone/pull latest commits from the remote repo.

For future employers: Can I hire you for <sysadmin|frontend|backend> work?

Not yet, but please drop your job offers to my inbox using the contact info on my contact page. I’ll look on it soon.
